OMAN – Contemporary Sculptural Chandelier in Woven Wicker
A sculptural chandelier between light, ritual and contemporary design
OMAN is a contemporary sculptural ceiling chandelier conceived as a suspended luminous presence. The project originates from a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancient Middle Eastern incense burner, a ritual object historically associated with spirituality, hospitality and symbolic gestures.
The archetypal forms of this traditional object are translated into a luminous body with strong scenic impact, where historical memory and architectural aesthetics merge into a refined and essential design language.
Metal-plated woven wicker: an exclusive Caspal technique
The defining element of the OMAN chandelier is Caspal’s exclusive technique of weaving wicker plated with silver-toned metal. This process is the result of extensive research combining Italian artisanal tradition with advanced contemporary design experimentation.
The metal-plated woven wicker creates a textured and luminous surface that interacts with both natural and artificial light, transforming the chandelier into a true suspended sculpture.
A luminous object for luxury interior design projects
OMAN is designed for high-end residential interiors, luxury hospitality spaces and international contract projects, where light becomes a narrative and identity-defining element. The chandelier integrates seamlessly into contemporary, minimalist and architectural environments, becoming the visual focal point of the space.
A collaboration presented in Paris
The OMAN chandelier was created in collaboration with Léa Zeroil and was presented in Paris during Paris Design Week, a leading international event for contemporary design. The piece was part of the exhibition “Là où naissent les Mirages”, conceived and curated by Léa Zeroil and Robin Costes at Galerie Oasis in Paris.
Its presentation in Paris reinforces the cultural and conceptual value of the project, positioning OMAN within an ongoing exploration of design as an expressive and experimental language.

OMAN is entirely designed and crafted in Italy, expressing a manufacturing approach focused on material quality, refined details and artisanal excellence.

BEFORE AND AFTER EACH USE: Wash with suitable detergents, avoiding chlorine-based products and bleaches, rinse and dry thoroughly. Then store in a dry environment. Do not use abrasive sponges or cloths or metal scouring pads. Immediately remove residues of salt (NaCl), lemon, vinegar, tomato-based sauces, etc. If using a dishwasher, make sure that the treatment includes perfect drying and polishing, otherwise proceed manually.
Treat silver-plated items as indicated for stainless steel items. Absolutely avoid the use of abrasive products such as metal and synthetic sponges that would irreparably damage the silver. In the presence of air, silver tends to sulfurize, taking on a more or less uniform dark color. This also occurs due to contact with certain substances present in food. This is a natural phenomenon that does not damage the silver coating but alters its appearance. To restore the original shine to silver, it is necessary to polish it with the help of specific products. The use of cleaners diluted in hot water is recommended.
