Caspal was founded in 2025 by Biagio Castellani and Federica Paoli. The goal of each of our collections is to bring together artisanal tradition and innovation. The precision of the design and the materiality of the metal combine in a unique narrative, transforming each piece into a work that recounts the process, the culture of making, and the beauty of controlled imperfection. Our research into materials and sculptural aesthetics translates into our products: the painted metal columns and elements naturally interact with the woven willow and metal-plated objects, as well as with the brass crafted as if it were a moiré silk fabric, creating a precise and contemporary language where shapes, surfaces, and textures are enhanced to their fullest in an elegant and never overdone way. The result is authentic luxury craftsmanship, where human touch and artistic sensibility make each piece a unique work of art, an expression of excellence and timeless beauty. Each product is not simply a decoration, but offers a narrative that harks back to the past, evoking ancient memories, yet also shapes the future with its contemporary approach, highlighting the expressive potential of design and stimulating the mind to explore new forms of beauty and functionality, paving the way for a design that transcends traditional conventions.
With some of our exclusive “collectible design” creations, we celebrate unique products. With the Entrelacés collectiond esigned by Federica Paoli we have proposed a contemporary reinterpretation of ancient hand-woven wicker techniques, brought to a new level of refinement and luxury with an additional metal plating treatment. What once belonged to the world of “arte povera” has now become an exclusive aesthetic language, where excellent Italian craftsmanship meets the formal and material research typical of collectible design.
Each weave is transformed into a functional yet aesthetically beautiful object, and each piece is part of the collection’s narrative, crafted with fine materials and sophisticated finishes, symbolizing Caspal’s ability to elevate tradition to a contemporary design object, destined to last over time.
