CASPAL a L'Appartamento by Artemest 2026 — sgabello intrecciato metal plated, candelieri Moiré in ottone e sottobicchieri

CASPAL at L'Appartamento by Artemest 2026: Our Iconic Pieces at Palazzo Donizetti

There is a moment during Milan Design Week when Italian design becomes something closer to a cultural act. That moment has a precise address: Via Gaetano Donizetti 48, where every year Artemest stages L'Appartamento, the exhibition project that celebrates the best of Italian high craftsmanship and contemporary design.

In 2026, for its fourth edition, CASPAL is among the Italian artisanal excellences selected to enter the rooms of Palazzo Donizetti. Our pieces — the woven wicker metal plated stool, the Moiré brass candle holders, and the brass coasters — have been chosen by five international interior design studios to furnish environments inspired by the most iconic Italian cultural capitals. A recognition that says much about what CASPAL is: not a brand that follows the market, but a brand that the world's best designers choose.

Italian craftsmanship is not a heritage to be preserved behind glass. It is a living language, capable of speaking with the world's finest designers.

L'Appartamento by Artemest 2026: a Grand Tour through Italian Grandeur

The fourth edition of L'Appartamento by Artemest is built around a theme of great resonance: Italian Grandeur. A tribute to Italy's artistic heritage, its architectural language, and the extraordinary manufacturing tradition that sustains it. The format is that of an immersive journey inspired by the spirit of the Grand Tour: five international interior design studios reinterpret, through a contemporary gaze, the essence of five Italian cultural capitals — Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Palermo.

The chosen setting is Palazzo Donizetti, a jewel of 19th-century Milanese architecture: frescoed ceilings, refined decorations, and the dramatic elliptical staircase that creates a rhythm of intimacy and theatricality. A container that does not overwhelm its contents but amplifies them — exactly what happens with the finest design objects, the kind CASPAL produces.

Five studios, five environments

Sasha Adler Design reinterprets the entrance hall and study as a refined homage to Venice. Rockwell Group brings the vibrant spirit of Naples into the dining room. March and White Design curates the living room as a tribute to the timeless grandeur of Rome. Charlap Hyman & Herrero transforms the entertainment rooms drawing inspiration from the aristocratic salons of 19th-century Palermo. Urjowan Alsharif Interiors concludes the journey with a bedroom that reflects the Florentine heritage of harmony and humanist culture.

In this context — five visions of Italian luxury reinterpreted by some of the world's most compelling design studios — CASPAL pieces were chosen as scenic elements capable of conveying Italian artisanal quality without the need for explanation.

The CASPAL pieces selected: three icons from our catalogue

The selection of our pieces for L'Appartamento by Artemest is not accidental. Each chosen object tells a precise aspect of CASPAL's philosophy: technical mastery, formal research, the ability to unite function and sculptural presence.

The woven metal plated stool

Among all the pieces in the CASPAL catalogue, the woven metal plated stool best synthesizes our formal research: the metal structure — rigorous, geometric, essential — is animated by the hand-woven wicker, an ancient artisanal technique reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The result is an object that has the solidity of metal and the warmth of natural material, industrial precision and the uniqueness of handcraft.

It is this dialogue between opposites — between cold material and warm material, between geometry and organicity — that has made the woven stool one of the most recognizable pieces in our collections and one of the most requested objects among international interior designers.

The Moiré brass candle holders

The Moiré brass candle holders take their name from the optical effect that characterizes their surfaces: a pattern of iridescent reflections that shifts with the angle of light, evoking the movement of moiré fabric. Brass — a material CASPAL works with technical expertise refined over years — is treated with a hand-finishing process that gives each piece a chromatic depth that cannot be industrially reproduced.

In the mise en place of the rooms at Palazzo Donizetti, the Moiré candle holders perform the function that best represents them: activating light within space. Not simply candle holders, but sculptural elements capable of transforming illumination into a compositional factor. Discover our full range of candle holders and table objects.

The brass coasters

CASPAL's brass coasters represent our philosophy in its most distilled form: an everyday-use object brought to the highest expression of its formal potential. The simplicity of the functional gesture — protecting the table surface — becomes the occasion for an exercise in geometric rigor and material quality. Each coaster is hand-finished, with details that reveal quality on close inspection: the precision of the thickness, the regularity of the surface, the calibrated weight.

These are the details that Artemest's designers recognized — and that transform an accessory element into a collectible piece.

Why this selection matters for CASPAL

Being selected for L'Appartamento by Artemest is not simply a trade fair presence. It is a cultural validation: the most discerning international designers — those who furnish luxury homes and hotels in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Riyadh — have chosen CASPAL pieces as elements capable of conveying Italian artisanal excellence at the highest level.

It confirms a direction we have pursued consistently: producing objects that do not need to be explained, because their quality is immediately perceived. Objects that an international designer chooses not because they are generically "Italian," but because they have a precise formal identity, a verifiable material history, and a presence in space that no industrially produced object can replicate.

CASPAL on Artemest: the platform that connects Italian craftsmanship to the world

This presence at L'Appartamento fits within the broader context of CASPAL's collaboration with Artemest, the international reference platform for high-end Italian design and craftsmanship. Through Artemest, our pieces reach designers, architects, and collectors worldwide — from New York to Paris, from Los Angeles to Dubai. A distribution that is not just about sales, but about building a globally recognizable brand identity.
